An Easy Safety Guide to Remove Malware from Windows Server

You are confident that your PC is secure and it can never get infected until it does and you don’t know exactly what you can do to get rid of it. It is no use to cry over spilt milk, so it will be better to protect your PC beforehand. There are steps through which you can protect your PC.


What is Malware?

Malware is any malicious software that tries to infect your PC or damage your files. Hackers use this malware to infect your PC for different reasons like stealing information, stealing money, extracting passwords etc.


Types of Malware:

There are different types of malware that you may encounter. Some malware spread host to host, some are worms that do not even need windows hosting programs to spread they infect any device by a downloaded file.

How to protect your PC?


Disconnect From the Internet:

Before starting malware removal you need to disconnect your PC from the internet. Don’t connect to the internet until your PC is thoroughly clean. If you need to download any removal tool, download it and then quickly disconnect.

Enter Safe Mode:

Safe mode actually refers to safe boot. Before entering into safe mode you need to back-up your important data. Now, boot your PC into windows safe Mode. This mode provides only the minimum required programs and minimum services will be loaded. This mode is easy for removing infectious files because you are not running or active.

Delete Temporary Files:

Before running the virus scan delete any temporary files. This step will reduce your disk space and will make the scanning process quicker. Use disk cleanup for this purpose. From the menu choose which files you want to delete.

Run Malware Scanner:

Now, it is time to use the scanner that you downloaded at the start. Normally, running a malware scanner is enough to get rid of most infections. There are several malware scanners that you can use like Cloud Cleaner, panda, etc.

Reset Your Browser:

Malware will most likely modify your homepage so that it can again infect your browser again. You need to verify that your homepage address is correct if so then move on to check your browser for any added malicious extensions. For fixing your chrome browser follow these steps.

  • Click the menu icon that is on the top right of the browser.

  • Then, select more tools.

  • Now, click on extensions.

  • Look for any add-ons that look infectious to you and then click on remove.

Clear Cache:

It is time to clear your cache. First of all, go to chrome.

Click the icon in the top right corner this will open a list of icons.

After that go to the “History” and then click on “clear browsing history”.

Restart Your PC:

At last now, you need to restart your PC. And we dearly hope that all the malware will be deleted from your PC.

For being on the safe side you need to delete all your passwords. Change your passwords and make them strong. Use different combinations to make a password that is difficult to hack.
