Another more traditional method of installing a metal ceiling is to build a grid pattern of furring strips. But first, check the bottom of the ceiling joists to see if the surface of the above ceiling surface is smooth or not. Now, use a long straight edge, and place it to the bottom of the joist.
Remember that you have to set the first furring strips around the perimeter of the garage. Make sure the strips are according to the dimensions on the center of the strips.
