Everyone likes to have some bottles of alcohol, whether it is at home or at a restaurant. When it comes to storing, majority of the people think that their bottle of alcohol is going to last forever but the truth is if that bottle is not stored properly in a dual zone wine fridge then it will not taste as good as it should be. And when it comes to serving liquor to customers at a restaurant, a well-trained staff is key to keep those customers coming back for more. Without any further delay, lets jump right in on how to store and serve alcohol beverages the way it is meant to be.


Keep Liquor in a Cool Temperature:


When it comes to storing alcohol, the thing that is most crucial is to keep those bottles of liquor cool, whether it is vodka, whiskey or beer. According to research the ideal temperature to keep alcoholic beverages is between 55 and 60degree Fahrenheit, which is relatively cool as compared to the room temperature (73 Fahrenheit). Keeping them in a cool temperature not only help in preserving liquor but it also helps prevent liquor to get oxidize more rapidly. As oxidized liquor will change flavor over time and will not satisfy the taste buds of your customers or guests.


Avoid Keeping Liquor in Sunlight:


If you keep your bottles on a shelf or table, make sure that no direct sunlight reaches the bottle because, over a long period of time, direct exposure to sunlight will initiate the oxidizing process of the liquor and thus change its flavor over time.


Freezing Booze:


Even though there is no need to keep your liquor at freezing temperatures but if you prefer having your drink at an extremely chilled temperature, go for it as alcohol will not freeze because the freezing temperature for alcohol is -173’F.


Glass Sizes for Liquor is Crucial:


When it comes to serving liquor one of the most common mistakes people make is to not use appropriate glass sizes. Always teach your staff on how to serve specific drinks in a specific glass. Doing this not only gives out more flavor but also improve upon the aesthetics in the manner of drinking.


Serving Liquor, the Right Way:


Some of the basic tips that you can use, on how to serve liquor whether it is for visiting guests or for customers, is to always handle the glasses from the bottom that you are going to use to our drinks in. Also, keep in mind to never let your hands or part of your fingers touch the mouth of the liquor bottle. Moreover, you can ask your staff to wear gloves while serving. And you can also use napkins to wipe the lip of the bottle after a pour.
