3 Easy Tips to Perfectly Cook Steaks at Home in 5 Minutes

When we talk about the best dinner meals, the first thing that pops into our mind is a perfectly cooked steak. Steak is one of the best traditional and tasty dinner recipes. But cooking steak might seem like a daunting task to some people. When in reality, making steak is easy and effortless. If you want a steak with a crisp crust and juicy center, then there is no need to fuss. To keep the meat fresh, make sure to place it inside the single door catering fridge. Know that the type of meat matters as well. Most people opt for a porterhouse, t-bone, or ribeye steak, but you can also use fillet mignon. Below we have mentioned the three easy tips to cook steak at home.

1. Don’t Be Afraid of Seasoning:

Seasoning of steak plays a crucial part. The most important part of seasoning is salting. Never be afraid of the salt. When it comes to steaks, aggressively coat the outside of steak with spices. The only worse thing than using too much seasoning is not using enough. A good piece of steak only needs some salt and pepper, but if you are a spice lover, you can add other seasonings like chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, dried basil, and soy sauce. You can marinate the meat for some time or cook it instantly. If you want a deep and enhanced flavor in your steak, you can let it rest with the seasonings on overnight. Otherwise, 30 minutes are okay.

2. Cook on High Heat:

There are numerous ways of cooking steaks. From charcoal grills to broilers to pans, no matter what you choose, you want to get it hot. Now let’s get to the cooking part. Your pan matters a lot when cooking a steak. Just get a heavy pan that you have in your kitchen. I would advise you to use a cast iron pan. A cast-iron skillet is best for steaks because it perfectly sears meat. When you are adding meat to the pan, the pan must be extra hot. The temperature of your pan can make or break the texture of your steak. Let the pan get hot for 5 minutes. After that, put your meat in the center of the pan. Keep moving and flipping the sides of your steak every minute. When the steak is halfway cooked, add butter and herbs to the pan.

3. Let It Rest:

Want to know why a chef-made steak is always a top-notch one? The secret to this question is resting. When you have cooked your steak, do not serve it immediately. We all know that everyone loves a hot steak but not letting it rest will ruin your steak. Remove your steak from the pan and place it on a plate, and allow it rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Resting will allow your meat to relax. Cutting a just-cooked steak will spill out the juice and the flavor. Resting will spread and adjust the juice evenly in the steak.
